THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) in Central Visayas is among the second batch of sites to receive the ISO 9001:2008 certification.
The seal for business excellence was expanded to 28 regional and provincial offices, including Tesda-7.
Tesda Regional Director Rosanna Urdaneta received the award last May 28 at the Tesda Central Office.
For a government agency to get an ISO certification means Tesda-7 is serving beyond what is expected of them, giving quality service to the people especially the youth who want to improve their skills, the Tesda-7 said in its press statement.
The Tesda provincial office in Bohol also received the same certification.
A team from TÜV SÜD PSB, an international service corporation, conducted the audit last March 16 to April 17.
