Women’s group sets forum on ‘small acts of heroism’

/ 07:29 AM June 19, 2013

THE Federated Organization of Women Active and Responsive to Development (Forward), a non-profit organization of women’s groups working together with the government on environment causes and community development projects, invites Cebuanos to join the forum entitled, “Ikaw at Ako Kabayani” with lawyer Alexander “Pinoy” Lacson on June 22 at 6 p.m. at Sacred Heart Center.

Alex Lacson, the author of the best-selling book, “12 Little Things Every Filipino Can Do To Help Our Country,” will share insights on being a “kabayani,” a new Filipino who recognizes his or her substantive role in nation-building.

Lacson campaigns to instill “small acts of heroism” in others and build a better Philippines through his profession as a lawyer, and his passion for writing.

The forum will help Cebuanos learn everyday acts of heroism done by ordinary Filipinos who have greatly contributed to the country and tips on how one can become a kabayani.
