Pasay police recover car used by ‘motel skipper’

The police on Tuesday recovered the Volvo used by the man they dubbed the “motel skipper” after he checked into two motels and then left without paying his bills.

The man was identified as Marco Gonzaga Saca through a United States-issued driver’s license that he had left with one of two female companions. The police later said that Saca used to appear in indie films under the screen name Marco Morales.

He is facing estafa, theft and assault charges at the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office.

Senior Supt. Rodolfo Llorca, Pasay police chief, said the white Volvo with plate number UPZ 452 was found in a garage at Hotel Sogo on Wood Street in Pasay City on Tuesday.

Llorca added that Saca checked into the motel but he paid his bill before he checked out. He left the car behind, however, after telling the attendants that it had run out of gas.

The management of the motel informed the police when the man failed to come back to claim the car, he said.

On June 10, Saca checked out of Victoria Court motel in Pasay City without paying his bill amounting to more than P10,000. He also took a 32-inch TV set.
