Did you know: Jose Rizal’s 152nd birth annversary

Today (Wednesday) is the 152nd birth anniversary of national hero Jose Rizal who was buried at Paco Cemetery in Manila, on the day of his execution on Dec. 30, 1896. His remains were later exhumed and deposited in his mother’s house in Binondo before these were interred at the base of the Rizal Monument in Rizal Park in 1912.—Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
