CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY—Eight men barged into an office of the Cagayan  Electric  Power and Light Company  (Cepalco) in Carmen village here Tuesday morning and divested the teller of about P100,000 in cash, and robbed an undetermined number of customers who had come to pay their bills, police said.

Senior Superintendent Graciano Mijares, Cagayan de Oro police chief, said the robbery took place around 8:45 a.m., some 45 minutes after the Cepalco office in Carmen opened.

Mijares reported witnesses as saying the robbers disarmed the office’s three security personnel upon entering the establishment.

The robbery was over in five minutes, with the robbers fleeing on three motorcycles, he said.
