Accenture Sharks remain unscathed in E-League
THE ACCENTURE Sharks devoured the Sykes Pioneers, 74-68, to remain unbeaten in the 9th E-League for Basketball last Saturday at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
Archie Brian Vincent Batua scattered 24 points, seven rebounds and a block to lead the Sharks to their second straight win.
Ryan Edward Llanos pitched in 12 points, while Ildefonso Bulangis Jr. added 11 for Accenture, which moved up to solo first place in Bracket B of the southern conference.
Tasting its first loss in two games, Sykes was led by Frederick Montelibano and Jan O’Neil Sahilan, who tallied 21 and 14 markers, respectively.
The Wipro Tigers, on the other hand, barged into the win column at the expense of the struggling former champions Telstra-Teletech Titans, 76-60.
Brennan Gonzales paced the Tigers with 15 points and was backed by Jose Rodelo Carabio, who had 10.
Article continues after this advertisementIn the other game, the Calltek Trojans bounced back from a loss the last time out by downing Author Solutions Hardbacks, 57-52.
