GMA-7 remains unbeaten in NBAC

GMA-7 leads the team standings in the ongoing Newsmen Basketball Association of Cebu  2013 Season after scoring an 88-80 win over The Freeman-Cebu Daily News Red Shamans yesterday at the Cebu Eastern College Gymnasium.

GMA-7 is now atop the five-team tournament with an unblemished 3-0 (win-loss) record. The win also booked the team a seat in the semifinals.


Godfrey Rellin led GMA-7with 25 points while reigning MVP Gabriel Bonjoc scattered 21 points.

The Red Shamans were headed by Jonas Panerio’s whopping 41 points and  the 14 points each of Peter Romanillos and Calvin Cordova.


In the first game, Sun.Star Daily-Bombo Radyo snatched its first win with a 70-61 victory over CCTN-47.

Phillip Cerojano paced Sun.Star Daily-Bombo Radyo with 34 points, while Juril Patiño chipped in 12 points.
