Visiting runners pace SN250 ultra marathon

CHEN Lagapa of Iligan City and Wilnar Iglesia currently lead the 20-runner pack in the ongoing South to North or SN250, 250-kilometer ultra marathon as of yesterday afternoon, according to the organizer Jonel Mendoza.

Iglesia and Lagapa reached the 10-hour mark in Ronda town, southwestern Cebu, covering around 75 kilometers of 5:21 p.m.

Joel Ouano and Rodney Cabahug trails them with 10 hours and 40 minutes, covering 71.5 kms.

Randy Rubio is at fifth place followed by Tony Galon, Edwin Colina, Bryan Kho and Jan Padilla.

FEATURED STORIES

All the runners have to cross the 128-kilometer mark in Toledo City within the 28-hour limit in order to avoid elimination.

After Toledo, the runners will continue the grueling run to Balamban, Asturias, Tuburan, Tabuelan and San Remegio.
