Fire hits residential area in Tondo

MANILA, Philippines—Fire struck a residential community in Tondo, Manila Friday afternoon, a Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region official said.

Senior Superintendent Aderson Comar, assistant regional director for operations of BFP-NCR, said the blaze hit a residential area on Limay Street, Manuguit, Tondo at 5:06 p.m.

It reached fifth alarm but was put out shortly before 6 p.m., said Senior Fire Officer 1 Louie Abenales.

There were no immediate reports of injury or fatality from the fire.
