Aegis Vipers rout Calltek Trojans for first E-League victory
THE AEGIS Vipers had a walk in the park in tallying their first win in the 9th E-League for Basketball as they dumped the Calltek Trojans, 78-52, last Sunday at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
Accenture and Lexmark also triumphed in their first assignments with the Sharks escaping the SSI Warriors, 63-60, and the Stallions nipping the Telstra-Teletech Titans, 73-65.
Ryan Veloso powered the Vipers with 19 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and an assist, while Rodulfo Enterina III and Dean Juber Escalon added 12 and 11 markers, respectively.
Mark Louise Gellez scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Trojans and was backed by Aerl Genebraldo chipped in 17 points.
Archie Brian Vince Batua, on the other hand, spearheaded the Sharks as he fired 16 points on top of eight rebounds, four assists, one assist and one block.
