MANILA, Philippines – The Light Rail Transit Authority and the Metro Rail Transit Authority will give scheduled free rides on Wednesday in commemoration of the Philippine Independence Day.
In a Twitter post, LRTA spokesman, lawyer Hernando Cabrera said passengers can avail themselves of free rides in stations at lines 1 and 2 of the LRT from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Cabrera said they are offering free rides “in celebration of the Philippine Independence Day.”
Same goes for MRT which is also set to give free rides on Wednesday for the same cause.
Tony Andulan of MRT said the schedule of free rides is also set from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
