MANILA, Philippines—The Supreme Court dismissed Monday several petitions filed by various disqualified partylist groups.
In a ruling released Monday, the high court dismissed for being moot and academic the petitions filed by following groups:
1-Kanegosyo, 1 Serve the People, Angat Ahon Magsasaka, Isang Kasambahay Po, Inc., 1 Ang Batas, Alab ng Pusong Pinoy, Active National Federation of Bantay, Inc., Courage, Aktibong Bayaning Pilipino, 1 Para sa Bayan, Partido ng Manggagawa, Alas-Gwardya, FXD, Pahiyom Pobreng Pamilyang Pinoy, AAA Aviation Advancement Advocates, Inc., Hanap Buhay Para Para sa Pinoy, Inc., Magdiwang Maharlikang Mamamayan Movement, Inc., Empleyadong Nagtataguyod ng Bagong Anyo ng Kapaligiran, Alliance of Concerned Transport Organizations, Inc., 1 Akong Minimum Wage Earner, Alab ng Mamamahayag, 1 Team for Education Advancement and Change, and Fancisco Aguilar and several others.
On the other hand, the high court remanded to the Comelec “for determination if they can be accredited pursuant to the new guidelines for partylist elections” set forth by the high court the petitions filed by Partido ng Katutubong Pilipino,1-AANI, Confederation of Non-stock Savings and Loan Associations, Inc., Pro-Active on Climate Change Leaders, Inc., Itinerant Vendors Alliance of the Philippines, Alliance of National Urban Poor Organizations Assembly, Inc, and Filipino-Muslim Organizations.
