THE COUNTRY’S bid for a spot in the 2014 World Volleyball Championships will be hinging on the efforts of a crack national squad composed of the stalwarts from the four teams that made it to the semifinals of the recent Shakey’s V-League First Conference.
This said team will compete in the South East Asian Qualification tournament slated June 14 to 16 in Quang Tri, Vietnam.
Five players from champion National U head the national team roster, including conference MVP Dindin Santiago, Finals MVP Rubie de Leon, Myla Pablo, Jennylyn Reyes and the 6-foot-4 Jaja Santiago.
Other members of the squad are Ateneo’s Alyssa Valdez, UST’s Maika Ortiz and Rhea Dimaculangan, Iari Yongco, Adamson’s Pau Soriano, Iari Yong of La Salle-Dasmariñas and Suzanne Roces.
