Red Shamans log second straight win in NBAC

THE CEBU Daily News (CDN)-Freeman Red Shamans scored their second straight victory after routing  the Sun.Star Daily-Bombo Radyo, 77-64,  yesterday in the Newsmen Basketball Association of Cebu (NBAC) 2013 Season at the Cebu Coliseum.

CDN’s Jonas Panerio scored a game-high 34 points for the Red Shamans, who had a slow start in the first period but pulled away in the third period with a 26-13 run.

Peter Romanillos nailed 16 points while Calvin Cordova chipped in 11 points for the Red Shamans, who will next face defending champion GMA-7 next Sunday.

Juril Patiño topped Sun.Star-Bombo Radyo with 26 points while Phillip Cerojano added 22.

In another game, defending champion GMA-7 remained undefeated  after scoring a  masterful 96-64 win against ABS-CBN.

Godfrey Rellin scored 26 points while reigning MVP Gabriel Bonjoc scattered 25 points for GMA-7./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
