ANGELES CITY—Filipino photographer Yen Baet has donated 30 of her works, including several international prize-winning pieces, to Holy Angel University (HAU) here to help raise funds for the education of young people.
Baet and HAU announced her donation to the scholarship program in their websites last week.
An exhibit at HAU’s Museum of Kapampangan Arts starting June 22 features Baet’s photographs, mostly long-exposure shots of landscapes and people during her travels in the United States, Europe, Asia and South America.
The 20-inch-by-24-inch photographs fetch P10,000 each, and the 15-inch-by-20-inch, P5,000 each. These are all signed by Baet.
Baet, who lives in England, is a graduate of HAU who has been supporting local initiatives to improve access to education. Another alumnus, Black Eyed Peas’ apl.de.ap (Allan Pineda), has donated a music library to HAU and a computer learning center in Barangay Sapang Bato here. Tonette Orejas, Inquirer Central Luzon
