PhilConstruct Industry Run fires off today

MORE than a thousand runners will swarm the San Pedro Calungsod Template at the South Road Properties (SRP) today for the first ever PhilConstruct Industry Run.
Organized by the Cebu Contractors Association (CCA), the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA) and the Philippine Institution of Civil Engineers (PICE), this race aims to continue to raise funds for the groups’ community project of building a classrooms made up of environment-friendly materials.
The beneficiary school will be the urban poor community school in barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City.
The distances offered in the running event are 21k-half marathon, 12k, 6k and 3k. Two Garmin wrist watches will be raffled off after the race.
There will be a half-road closure in most parts of SRP’s main road which is part of the race’s route. /corrESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
