Buy-bust operation in Naga City yields P150,000 worth of shabu

NAGA CITY, Camarines Sur, Philippines–Anti-narcotics agents and the Naga City police seized P150,000 worth of shabu from two suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in this city on Thursday.

Police Officer 2 Geoffrey Ruz of the Naga City Police Office said agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the local police arrested Joselito Cid and Gerardo Rupac as they were trying to sell 24.9 grams of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to police operatives in Panganiban Drive here at 9 a.m.

Ruz said Cid had been under surveillance for a long time after he was identified as a drug dealer in the city.

He said the two suspects would be charged with possession and sale of illegal drugs.
