Village councilor shot in Catanduanes

MANILA, Philippines—A 28-year-old village councilor was shot and wounded by motorcycle-riding men in Catanduanes Wednesday morning,
police said.

Superintendent Renato Bataller, Bicol regional police spokesman, identified the victim as Jeffrey de la Rosa of Barangay (village) Maui
in Caramoran, Catanduanes who was attacked by four unidentified suspect on two motorcycles.


Bataller said de la Rosa sustained two gunshot wounds and was rushed to the Eastern Bicol Medical Center in Virac for medical treatment.
