MANILA, Philippines–A 4.6 magnitude earthquake shook Eastern Samar Wednesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The tectonic quake was recorded at 6:13 a.m., with an epicenter eight kilometers east of Llorente in Eastern Samar. It had a depth of 20 kilometers.
Intensity IV was felt in Llorente, Intensity III in Borongan, Intensity II in Mercedes, Oras, Dolores, San Policarpo, and Tacloban City and Intensity I in Palo, Leyte
Damages were not seen from the quake but aftershocks were expected, it said.
