TO promote new technologies in the construction industry, the Cebu contractors and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) in Central Visayas will hold a competition among workers.

Judges will also assess the competency of each candidate based on the criteria of functionality, measurement, proper use of tools, safety and time efficiency.
The team that has the highest score will be declared winner, while the teams that can acquire an accumulative grade of 70 perent and above will be given National Certificate for Scaffold Erection II. Jayme said only ten teams are allowed to join the competition and registration will be on a first come first serve basis.
This activity is part of the celebration of the Cebu Business Month organized by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI). Only contractors who are members of the Cebu Contractors Association can join.
Each team must bring their own tools, equipment and personal protective equipment during the event that will be held at the Tesda grounds on June 8.
