Natan-Allera tops Triple B badminton
Cagayan de Oro and Iligan smashers outplayed local entries, claiming seven of the 12 trophies in the recent First Triple “B” Cup: Battle of the Best in Badminton held at The Raquetzone badminton courts.
Virgilio Natan and Jovel Allera of Cagayan defeated Fritz Sagaad and Dexter Ophalia in straight sets, 21-14, 21-19 to capture the premier Men’s Doubles Level C crown while Nash Saycon and Jimboy Franca of Iligan bagged the Men’s Level D title after nipping brothers JR and Mark Bergantin of Cebu in a wildly-cheered three-setter, 18-21, 21-15, 21-13.
Spectators were likewise brought to their feet during the 3-setter Men’s Doubles Level E finals between Cagayan’s Warren Treseno and Jaydee Aganan against Scott Inting and Michael of Bohol won by the former, 21-14, 23-15, 21-14.

Winners of the other levels are: Men’s Level F: champion – Nimrod Vios Jr. and Mc Crae Suico (Iligan), runner-up – Peter and Rey (Cebu); Executive Level E champion – Doner and Alvin (Cebu), runner-up – Allan and Manny Tiu (Cebu); Women’s Level D champion – Saito and Irish (Cebu), runner-up – Joy and Maymay (Iligan); Women’s Level E champion – Joy and Daphne (Iligan), runner-up – Cathy O and Penny Ong (Cebu);
Women’s Level F champion – Anne and Vanessa (Cebu), runner-up – Raula and Anne (Iligan); Mixed Level C champion – Tonyo and Hazel (CDO), runner-up – Aljun and Jera (Cebu); Mixed Level D champion – Fritz and Clarisse (Cebu), runner-up Braian Dalce and Irish; Mixed Level E champion – Mc Crae and Maymay (Iligan), runner-up Macmac and Hazel (Iligan); Mixed F champion – JM Castro and Mitchi (Cebu), runner-up – Elvin and Eileen (Iligan).
