Cagayan de Oro and Iligan smashers outplayed local entries, claiming seven of the 12 trophies in the recent First Triple “B” Cup: Battle of the Best in Badminton held at The Raquetzone badminton courts.

Virgilio Natan and Jovel Allera of Cagayan defeated Fritz Sagaad and Dexter Ophalia in straight sets, 21-14, 21-19 to capture the premier Men’s Doubles Level C crown while Nash Saycon and Jimboy Franca of Iligan bagged the Men’s Level D title after nipping brothers JR and Mark Bergantin of Cebu in a wildly-cheered three-setter, 18-21, 21-15, 21-13.

Spectators were likewise brought to their feet during the 3-setter Men’s Doubles Level E finals between Cagayan’s Warren Treseno and Jaydee Aganan against Scott Inting and Michael of Bohol won by the former, 21-14, 23-15, 21-14.
