ALA sets fight card in Bantayan

ROLI Gasca of the ALA Gym will fight Jimmy Aducal in the main event of a fight card set in Bantayan island on June 22.

Gasca (19W-4L-1D, 5 KOs), who hails from Barili, Cebu, bounced back from a two-fight losing streak to score a majority draw against former WBA world superbantamweight champion Akifumi Shimoda of Japan in Tokyo last April 6.

Aducal (6W-1L-2D, 5 KOs) has won via the short route against his last five opponents. He captured the PBF super flyweight belt last February by 5th round TKO against Bryan Vicera.

Gasca vs. Aducal will be a non-title bout.

FEATURED STORIES

The supporting main event will feature unbeaten prospect Mark ‘El Supremo’ Acub (11W-0L, 9 KOs) of the ALA Gym against Rene ‘King Tiger ‘ Bestudio (15W-4L-4D, 5 KOs).

Acub has scored back to back stoppage wins against Fernando Otic and Bonnie Makiling. Bestudio had a major win last April 13 when he beat Anthony ‘Rocky’ Marcial by TKO in the 8th round in Taguig City. Marcial is a former WBO Oriental champion and once served as the sparring partner to Manny Pacquiao.

Also set to see action are Arjan Canillas vs. Rodel Wenceslao (8 rounds), popular ring funny man Jojo Intor vs. Jamjam Ungon (4 rounds), Engelbert Moralde vs. JR Salvador (6 rounds), John Vincent Moralde vs. Rolando Navarette Jr. (6 rounds) and Kim Galon vs. Ryan Canillas (4 rounds).
