Cobbler shot dead

A 57-YEAR-OLD shoe repairman was shot dead by an unidentified assailant inside a public market in barangay South Poblacion, San Fernando town, southern Cebu on Saturday afternoon.

Antonio Enad Tapere, 57, suffered a gunshot wound in the head. The victim was brought to the the Carcar District Hospital but he was declared dead by the attending doctor.

Police said the victim was getting ready to repair some shoes at 2:15 p.m. Saturday when the assailant appeared from behind and opened fire.
