SPRINGDALE’S Ivan Palmero saved Global FC Philippine U-15 from a shutout but the Filipinos still bowed to Myanmar Mandalay FA, 1-4, in the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM)-Frenz U-15 ASEAN Champions Trophy 2013 last Saturday at the Aung San Memorial Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar.
Palmero converted a penalty kick to give his team its lone goal in the tournament so far.
While the Philippines absorbed its second straight loss in the tournament, the win was Myanmar’s first.
The Philippines will travel to Laos this weekend to face Lao Toyota FC at the Chaoanouvong Stadium in Vientiane. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
