A 30-YEAR-OLD man landed in jail after he allegedly tried to rape a 19-year-old woman in Mandaue City.
Mark Jayme was arrested in his house in a follow-up operation.
The incident happened Friday night in a boarding house owned by the complainant’s aunt.
According to the woman, she was sleeping in her room when someone knocked on the door.
The woman said she opened the door to check when a man, who was later identified as Jayme, forced his way inside.
The woman alleged that the man tried to rape.
The woman shouted for help sending other boarders rushing to her aid.
Jayme ran home where he was cornered by responding police.
