The Prime Asia-University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers gun for a sweep against the San Marino Corned Tuna-Cebu Institute of Technology University (CIT–U) Wildcats today in Game Two of their best-of-three finals series of the 2013 Enervon-Cesafi Partner’s Cup at the Cebu Coliseum.

Game time is set at 4 p.m.

The Lancers are aiming for a second straight title against the very same team they beat for the crown last year. UV took a step closer towards the title earlier in the week when it clobbered CIT-U, 91-83, in Game One.

Though the Wildcats had several spirited moments in Game One, the Lancers still emerged victorious, thanks to a deep and talented roster led by Rookie of the Year-MVP Wowie Escosio and crafty guard John Abad.

Adding even more firepower is the presence of two prolific African imports in the high-leaping Steve Akomo and the bullstrong Mike Harry.

Abad conspired with Chris Perolino in Game One in a terrific third period burst that broke the game wide open in their favor. The two eventually finished with 19 points each.

The Wildcats hope to keep their title aspirations alive behind the efforts of their talented quartet of Floyd Taboada (25 points), Allen Dimco (21), Joshua dela Cerna (18) and Vincent Menguito (15).

However, they must get significant contributions from other quarters in order to force a winner-take-all Game Three.
