An outgoing councilor in Binalonan town survived a gun attack by two men on a motorcycle, according to police.
Oscar Evangelista, 68, was driving his Volkswagen Beetle on the national highway in Binalonan at past 8 a.m. when a motorcycle drove by and one of the riders fired at him.
Evangelista was hit in the right thigh and treated at the town’s rural health unit. His attackers fled to Urdaneta City.
