BATANGAS–A team from the Lipa City and Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) regional police units arrested a policeman and three others for keeping unlicensed firearms and hand grenades in a raid of the suspects’ houses in Lipa City on Saturday.

Supt. Jacinto Malinao, Lipa City police chief, identified the suspects as PO1 James Aaron Sabillo, a suspect in a murder case in April; Conrado Sabillo, an uncle of James Aaron; and Robert Icaro; and Jesus Cepres.

Malinao said the city police and the Public Safety Battalion-Special Weapon and Tactics team of the Calabarzon police swooped down on the houses of James Aaron and the three other suspects, all in Barangay Mabini of Lipa City, at around 6 a.m.

Police seized during the raid two hand grenades, three unlicensed guns and several rounds of ammunition. Marrah Erika Lesaba, Inquirer Southern Luzon
