Saycon-Andojar rules Metro Sports b’minton

THE tandem of Nash Saycon and Roldan Andojar dominated the men’s class D doubles competition in last weekend’s Metro Sports Summer Badminton Cup at the Metro Sports Badminton courts in barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

Saycon and Andojar beat the pair of Lawrence Chua and Marvin Dela Calzada in the finals.

Jessa Diamante and Michelle Fernandez emerged champions in the combined Ladies Class C and D.

In the Mixed Doubles Class D, Andojar teamed up with Joan Francisco to rule the category, beating Hannah Tudtud and Janrhel Asembrado.

Meanwhile, Daniel Pantanosas and Miggy Pana grabbed the top spot in the men’s class E doubles after winning over Scott Busano and Michael Taculad.

In the distaff side, Dianne Aguilar and Jen Moreno finished on top after winning over Pipot Pantanosas and Nina Natan.

In the mixed division of class E, Hazel Libato and Eleazar Longakit’s tandem prevailed over the pair of Roger Sameon and Momot Irizar.

Other winners were JM Castro and Michi Sy (Mixed Class F), Mariele Pana and Jeila Lamberang (10-under whiz) and Warren O and Jared Tanco (14-under whiz).
