Drug suspect falls in buy-bust

POLICE arrested a man and seized packs of suspected shabu worth at least P20,000 in a buy-bust operation in barangay Pulangbato, Cebu City on Wednesday night.

Paul Llaguno, 20, denied ownership of the seized illegal drugs.

The suspect, however, admitted that he was involved in illegal drug trade.

“Panagsa raman ko mamaligya basta naay makuhaan (I only sell if there’s a supplier),” said Llaguno.

Llaguno was placed under surveillance for a week when police received a report about his alleged involvement in illegal drug trade, said Senior Insp. Keith Allen Andaya, deputy chief for administration of the intelligence branch of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).

Andaya said Llaguno is tagged as a level three drug pusher who could dispose of at least P25,000 worth of shabu a day.

A case for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect, who is detained at the CCPO, police said./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
