DEDON, a furniture manufacturing company in barangay Canduman, Mandaue City, conducted a responsible parenting and family planning seminar for the beneficiaries of its housing project in barangay Bagalnga, Compostela town, northern Cebu last May 22.
Seventeen persons, mostly parents, attended the seminar that dealt with effective parenting techniques, such as bonding with the children and family planning to achieve the desired family size within the context of responsible parenthood.
Speakers during the seminar were Rey Perez of the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), Dedon corporate relations assistant Flobelle Cabije of Dedon and Marlou Romero of Dedon Employees Multi Purpose Cooperative (Demco).
Demco members also shared with the housing beneficiaries the knowledge they learned from the responsible parenting seminar earlier conducted by the PBSP.
