Mandaue property owners have until June 20 to pay taxes

City Treasurer warns: Settle dues or properties will be auctioned

Owners of real properties in Mandaue City should settle their taxes before June 20 to avoid having these properties auctioned by the city government.

Regal Oliva, Mandaue city treasurer, made the call after extending the deadline for the last payment of taxes from April 20 to June 20.

If no payment is made after June 20, a demand letter will be sent first to the delinquent taxpayers. After 15 days, a second demand letter will be issued and then the warrant of levy will follow.

The warrant means the property has been attached to the name of the Mandaue City government.

Oliva said that after the issuance of warrant of levy, publication will be made before the auctioning of properties.
