Bus company robbed of P500,000 in earnings by 2 passengers in QC

MANILA, Philippines—A bus company lost P500,000 in earnings to two robbers who posed as passengers on Monday afternoon in Quezon City.

The robbery happened while the Don Mariano Transit Corp. bus was on its way to the company terminal to remit the bus earnings.

Nina Jeanette Macam, the teller of the bus company, said two passengers robbed them at gunpoint along Quirino Highway.

The two men pulled off the robbery at around 3:30 p.m. Monday in Barangay Sta. Monica in Novaliches, case investigator Police Officer 3 Fernando Tanghay said.

The robbers then got off the bus and fled with the loot.
