People with kidney problems who need to undergo dialysis sessions in Valenzuela City and in nearby areas can now avail of hemodialysis services offered by the city government-run Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital.
The hospital officially opened its Dialysis Center earlier this month, aimed at providing low-cost hemodialysis treatments.
Inaugurated in November last year, it has five brand-new dialysis machines and has a resident nephrologist, a doctor specializing in kidney problems, on its staff.
The city government said most of the hospital’s patients are senior citizens who used to get their dialysis treatments from private hospitals in and around the city.
Patients who are not from Valenzuela can avail of the treatment for P3,750. City residents can get the service at half the price, while indigent patients pay only P1,275.
PhilHealth Card holders, on the other hand, need to present their card to avail of the services.
Apart from dialysis treatments, the Valenzuela City Emergency Hospital also has operating and delivery rooms, as well as ultrasound, radiology, X-ray, blood bank and laboratory facilities, among others.
