The first victim was identified John Paul Silva, 41, a resident of Sarmiento Compound, Durian Street in Dadiangas North village here.
According to a police report, an assailant entered the Sarmiento compound around 11 a.m. pretending to be looking for a room for rent.
Silva accompanied the stranger, but a few minutes later, people inside the compound heard several gunshots. When they came out to check, they saw the victim on the floor bleeding.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to several bullet wounds.
An hour later, another shooting incident took place in Tambler village.
The victim was identified as Dennis Abbas, head guard of Rivas Security Agency, and a resident of Buayan village. Abbas was visiting a friend in Sitio Biu in Tambler village when an unidentified man shot him several times.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The third shooting incident happened at around 6 p.m. in Purok Tinago, Dadiangas South Village.
A lone gunman pumped bullets into the victim, identified as Romeo Zamora Jr., who was just standing near his residence.
The suspect fled on a motorcycle.
The city police said they were still investigating the motives behind the killings.
