Heritage blogging workshop set today

ONE of the latest trends in online knowledge sharing today is blogging.

With easy Internet access, many individuals venture into blogging.

There are those who blog about food, travel, fashion, art, technology, and even their personal musings.

A type of blogging that is relevant for the country with a rich past and vibrant culture, like the Philippines, is heritage blogging.

The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI), in partnership with Cebu Bloggers Society Inc. will conduct a seminar-workshop on “Reporting Heritage for Bloggers” today at 10 a.m. at the Casa Gorordo Museum.

The workshop will train the participants how to report and blog about their heritage as well as the Gabii sa Kabilin heritage tour on May 31.

Sessions during the seminar include “Why blog about heritage and what to blog about heritage” by Boboi Costas; “How to write about heritage” by Jason Baguia; and “How to take photos of heritage subjects” by Gerard Pareja.

Dr. Jocelyn Gerra, executive director of RAFI Culture and Heritage, will join Costas during the workshop proper.

Interested participants may contact Nancy Cudis at 4187234 local 520 or visit website www.rafi.org.ph.
