MANILA, Philippines — Rains are expected in parts of the Philippines due to a diffused tail-end of a cold front affecting Northern Luzon and intertropical Convergence Zone affecting Southern Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Friday.
“The regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley Zamboanga Peninsula and Palawan will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly over the western section.
Temperature in Metro Manila, will be between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius, based on Pagasa’s extended weather outlook.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to south will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the east to northeast over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. Frances Mangosing
