MANILA, Philippines — A bank manager who was driving along Taft Avenue, Manila, on her way to work was shot by a motorcycle-riding gunman Thursday morning.
Police identified the victim as Rosemarie Gatan of BPI Taft-Padre Faura branch, who was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Initial investigation showed that the victim was driving to the bank when she was shot.
Police said she bore a gunshot wound on the left side of the neck.
The silver-gray Mazda came to a stop when it hit a concrete kilometer sign across the National Bureau of Investigation headquarters.
