7-year-old boy dies after being hit by PNR train

A 7-year-old boy was killed after he was hit and dragged by a Philippine National Railway train in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

The victim, identified as Elizar Entong of Laguna Street, Sta. Cruz, was struck by the southbound train as it was moving toward Blumentritt Station on New Antipolo Street at 6:37 p.m. on Monday, a police report said.

The victim’s mother, Elizabeth Bentoy, told the police that her son was crossing the railroad tracks when he was hit by the train.—Erika Sauler with Sushmita Chim
