THE UNIVERSITY of the Visayas-manned Cebu squad will try to muster up their third win in a row when they tackle Kabaka in the national finals of the Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars at the JCSGO gym in Quezon City.
The Baby Lancers are currently tied for the lead in the standings with Laguna. The two squads share identical records of 2-0 (win-loss).
Cebu started its campaign on a high note, beating Cagayan de Oro, 40-31 before coming away with a default win over San Juan yesterday.
Cebu faces off against a Kabaka squad that is itching to bounce back after falling to Pampanga yesterday, 55-60. Manila defeated San Juan last Sunday, 62-48.
The Baby Lancers are gunning for the national crown after falling short of that last year, where they made it to the championship game before getting derailed by the San Beda-powered Taytay. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
