Boracay, Fruitas shoot for semifinal seats

THE BORACAY Rum Waves and the Fruitas Shakers look to clinch spots in the semifinal round when they battle separate rivals in the quarterfinal round of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup today at the Blue Eagle gym inside the Ateneo de Manila campus in Quezon City.

The Waves will try to overcome the twin-tower-powered EA Regen while the Shakers take on the Big Chill Superchargers.

Boracay Rum and Fruitas own twice-to-beat advantages.

Boracay Rum dominated EA Regen, 85-75, in their first meeting, but the Waves expect a fierce war to be waged down low, especially with the Team Delta’s big man combination of Raymund Almazan and the NCAA MVP Ian Sangalang.
