Thieves break into computer shop

A computer shop in Marikina City was once again burglarized by still unidentified men over the weekend.

An LCD monitor and a computer control processing unit worth P17,000 were discovered missing from Zero Blitz Gaming Hub on Katipunan Extension in Barangay (village) Sto. Niño on Sunday morning, according to police reports.

Owner Joniver Sto. Domingo told authorities that his shop was also robbed in March last year of 10 computer units. The perpetrators reportedly employed the same modus operandi, using a bolt cutter to forcibly open the main glass door and roll-up steel door.

The break-in was reported by the caretaker’s mother who spotted the forcibly opened door on her way to the market. Reports said that more units could have been stolen if the monitors and other devices were not installed on the walls.—Jhesset Thrina Enano, trainee
