THE PASARGAD (PSG) FC/Little Azkals solidified their hold of the top spot after clinching their third straight win in the U17 category of the UFL Youth League.

The PSG FC/Little Azkals stretched their points to nine with a 7-1 demolition of the Dolphins United FC yesterday at the Emperador Stadium in Taguig City.

PSG FC import Younousse Yaogo of Ivory Coast once again exploded with four goals—one in the added time of the first half and three in the second half.

The 16-year-old Younousse, who is also a mainstay in PSG FC’s Division 1 team, used to play for the Barcelona FC Academy before he was contracted by the team for the UFL.

Keith Plotena broke the ice for PSG FC/Little Azkals in the 10th minute of the match.

Head coach Eleazar Toledo said the first half could have easily been 6-0 in favor of his team but the boys did not follow his game plan.

“Because some of their opponents were tall, I told them to bring the ball to the side and link up passes,” said Toledo. “But the boys were in a hurry and forced their attempts from 30 yards so they wasted a lot of attempts.”

His team padded the lead in the second half with Yaogo’s hattrick in the 68th, 74th and 78th minutes.

The rest of the goals were scored by Jovan Marfiga in the 85th minute and Vincent Erik “Ngitz” Lovitos, who sealed PSG FC/Little Azkals’ win with a wall pass to Iani Miranda and back to him for the finish.

Also making significant assists which resulted to goals were Lawrence “Soysoy” Colina, Mason Vergara, Shanden Vergara and Inigo Ugarte.

The Dolphins’ goal came from a free kick from the left flank in the 50th minute called by the referee on Christian Floren Lapas, who had pulled the shirt of his opponent while attempting a tackle.

Kaya FC, on the other hand, managed to survive against Nomads FC, 3-2, on the goals of Nino Herrera (2) and Johnny McArtor.
