DZIQ: Estrada says he didn’t name Lacson as among those he forgave
MANILA, Philippines – Former President Joseph Estrada said Tuesday that he never singled out Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson as among the people he had forgiven.
Estrada was reacting to Lacson’s inquiry as to why the former president should forgive him when he did not ask for any forgiveness.
“Wala akong ini-specify na tao [I did not specify any person],” Estrada told Radyo Inquirer, adding that his forgiveness was for all in keeping with the Lenten Season.
Estrada denied reports that quoted him as saying during his birthday last April 19 that he had forgiven Lacson, his former national police chief with whom he had a falling out with after the senator had distanced himself from the former leader.
