Charlie, Alpha book 2nd win

The Coronel Baculio-led Charlie-Green routed defending champion Hotel-Violet, 102-74, while Alpha-Black drubbed winless Foxtrot-Yellow, 82-69, Saturday night, as both teams improved to 2-2 (win-loss) in the Seniors Division of the CEKALCO-2013, Mayor Mike Rama Cup Inter-Color basketball tournament.

It was a close fight for Charlie and Hotel in the first period with Charlie leading 20-19. However, a blistering 41-20 rally in the 2nd quarter all but assured Charlie’s victory.

Richard Gubaton and Estoy Panerio led Charlie-Green with 24 and 23 points, respectively while Mario Dosal paced Hotel-Violet (2-1) with 20 markers.

Earlier, Alpha and Foxtrot also fought a close match in the first three quarters which ended in a 57-all tie. The former however, outscored the latter, 25-12 in the final period for the 13-point win.
