MANILA, Philippines — Due to “acts of violence,” a failure of election has been declared in a barangay (village) in Maguindanao, the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) said Monday.
The PPCRV said that at 12 noon, voting was stopped in Barangay Kolambog, Sultan Sa Barongis but did not provide additional details.
Ana De Villa-Singson, media director of the PPCRV, said their lawyers in Comelec have confirmed the news.
