MANILA, Philippines — The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) has officially opened its hotline for any election-related reports and concerns.
The PPCRV has started taking calls a little over an hour after the polling precints opened across the country at 7 a.m. on Monday. Its hotline number is 52-PPCRV or 527-7278.
The election watchdog will also conduct an unofficial parallel quick count.
But there is little action yet at its Command Center at the Pope Pius XII Catholic Center along United Nations Avenue in Manila, with the vote counts expected to come after precincts close at 7 p.m.
Three large screens are set up in the middle of the auditorium, where poll data like the number of counted clustered precincts and ranking of the senatorial candidates are being flashed.
