Alert bus driver scares robbers but gets stabbed

/ 12:29 AM May 12, 2013

A bus driver was stabbed when he tried to alert authorities about the three robbers who had boarded his vehicle on Edsa, Quezon City, before dawn on Friday.

The robbers had already taken a passenger’s mobile phone worth P5,000 when Menases Perran, 43, saw a team of traffic constables of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and tried to draw their attention by repeatedly blowing his horn.

This caused the robbers to panic and rush out of the northbound Baclaran Metro Link bus, but one of them stabbed Perran before getting off.
