Student jumps to death from Benilde building

A senior college student died after reportedly jumping from the 11th floor of a building on the College of St. Benilde campus on Pablo Ocampo Street in Malate, Manila, Thursday afternoon.

Several students saw Jefferson Tan, a fourth-year student taking up multimedia arts, jump from a window of the Design and Arts Building around 3:20 p.m., according to PO2 Crispino Ocampo of the Manila Police District.

The apparent suicide victim landed on the roof of one of the houses next to the school building.
