C-Cimpel satisifed with PCOS testing

THE watchdog group C-Cimpel was satisfied with the outcome of the final testing and sealing of PCOS machines to be used for vote counting.

Rebecca delos Santos, field coordinator of C-Cimpel in Cebu’s 5th district, said that except for one PCOS machine in Compostela town that malfunctioned, everything went well in Wednesday’s exercise.

She said the group, the Cebu-Citizens Involvement and Maturation in People’s Empowerment and Liberation, will give their best to monitor the conduct of elections all over Cebu on Monday.

The parish-based election watchdog has been pollwatching since the 1992 elections.

Thousands of C-Cimpel volunteers are ready for election duties, said delos Santos.

“Aside from the values formation seminars attended by our volunteers since the middle of 2012, they also underwent technical training on the operation of PCOS machines,” she said.
